SD-1

The name of the plane comes from my buddy Don who likes to tease me with declaring that I am from Sweden (I am from Switzerland) and that everything there is called a “Schnitzengruber”. The SD-1 is a scratch built EPP foam plane (plans and plane) for moderate to strong winds; it flies extremely true and it has a wide speed envelope. Besides the usual delta controls it features air brakes and rudder. Ballast can be added at two hatches one on the CG and the other under the nose. This plane has logged already many flights and it is a blast to fly. If we (Don and I) get a chance we’ll make an in flight movie of the SD-1 and post it soon.

Daydream

The Daydream is an easy to fly glider. We reinforced the wing center section and with that modification it can be used with an engine pod as well as with a high start. The Daydream is capable of simple acrobatics like loops and stall turns and even with the added weight of the engine mount it still flies well.

Daydream

The Daydream is my first RC model. I built it together with my dad. It is an all wood kit that came together easily. The plane flies good and we used different techniques to get it into the air. Recently we built an engine mount with an OS Max 15 engine. With that engine pod I can fly almost half an hour.

Flamingo Contest

Another plane from my early flying years, the Flamingo is a nice flying glider, with a very sleek design and good flying characteristics. I haven’t flown the Flamingo for many years now but I have readied it should I find a good place to fly. It needs a stone free, smooth landing site which is a problem around here. The plane features, airbrakes and a variable camber.

Ta-152

The Ta-152 was my second EPP slope plane; it likes moderate winds and likes to fly fast. The pane is covered with silver Econocote and then airbrushed. The idea behind that was that if there is a scratch then it would look as if aluminum would shine through. If there is not enough wind prepare to get the plane form below the slope, if there is wind then the plane flies well - it is not an easy plane to fly though and because of it’s speed it needs constant attention.

Zagi 5C

This the one of the most fun and definitively most relaxing planes in my fleet. Because of it’s EPP construction it can take a lot of abuse. The Zagi starts to fly well in winds from 6 to 7 Mph upwards. The plane is very agile and does many neat maneuvers, in strong winds it requires a bit more experience but in winds around 10 Mph it is one of the best planes that I know for somebody to learn flying.

Zagi 5C

The Zagi is my favorite airplane. It is pure fun knocking other Zagis out of the sky and flying crazy maneuvers over the slope.

Zagi 5C

We built our Zagis with our dad and finished it in a short time. The Zagi is really cool to fly and I love to fly combat with other Zagis.
