What is the M.A.R.K.S. Club?

M.A.R.K.S. stands for Miniature Aircraft Radio Kontrol Society (AMA Charter 133) - Behind this name there is an active RC Model club that is located in the San Bernardino - Redlands - Highland area in Southern California. Currently we have one main flying field but also some additional places where we fly our models, ranging from electric slow fliers, scale and IMAC planes, pylon racers, over helicopters and 3D planes to turbine powered jets.

The goal is to have a new picture here every few days. Anything club or RC flying related goes!

A bit behind schedule, here are the two winners of last meeting's Model of the Month Contest: Steven Lumpkin with a foam pusher jet (left) and Sanford with a ducted fan foam jet (Right). Both planes got the same number of votes. That hasn't happened for a long time. Congratulations to both!

A big thanks goes also to Rick Inlow who cuts the weeds and blows off the sand and small rocks from our runway more often then one would think. - Thanks a lot Rick, you are a great Field Director!

The first of the season will be held at our Greenspot
Field on Sunday Feburary 15th!

The weather forecast for Sunday (race day) is currently not perfect and we will decide on Friday if we will hold the race or not.
